Hey, I'm Clare Murphy

Based in Watford, Hertfordshire. For the last fifteen yesrs I've been working as a freelance Hairsylist and Educator.

​

During my career spanning over 30 years, starting in the salon and moving into teaching and session work, I have been fortunate work international brands in the UK and overseas.

​

My current assignments see me working with celebrities and high end clients on location, in film and for T.V and streaming service productions.

​

My skill set is extensive and my knowledge and experience enables me to complete any brief, be that fashion, period or avant guarde and my specialisim, making, sourcing and working with wigs and hair pieces to achieve any look required by the client or designer.

I’m pretty low-key (and some would say modest), so writing this has been interesting! I asked a stylist who I’ve trained and worked with creatively to comment on my approach – thank you to her. This is what she had to say about me... 

“Where to start about Clare? One of the calmest hair creatives I know (is there such a thing?) — a true hair educator and a huge creative talent. Anything is possible when ‘Clare with the hair’ is around!”

I also want to add that my partner Jeff and twelve year old twins, Joe and Maeve, are my biggest supporters.
